Live CME for Primary Care Clinicians

In 1995, Pri-Med created the Pri-Med Conference & Exhibition to provide the quality of a national association event close to home at minimal cost. pmiCME sponsors additional learning opportunities for accredited CME at each one of these seven (7) regional Conference & Exhibition events:
  • pmiCME Updates. These multi-supported, full day programs attract 500+ primary care clinicians, majority physicians (MD/DO) and also physician assistants (PA) and nurse practitioners (NP) currently engaged in patient care. The curriculum is appropriately designed to cover a wide range of clinically relevant topics, consistent with the real life patient scenarios clinicians experience in an everyday primary care setting.
  • Pri-Med Symposia. To ensure that conference participants are offered an optimal number of CME hours, Symposia are strategically scheduled around, but independent of, the pmiCME Updates and the core content sessions developed by Harvard Medical School and Pri-Med’s regional academic partnering institutions. Participants are recruited to participate in advance based on their interests and practice relevance for the disease area. Each symposium covers one disease in depth and can be offered in in varying session lengths and audience size to accommodate the particular goals of the educational intervention.
The majority of attendees at Pri-Med’s live educational programs are
  • active primary care clinicians
  • practicing fewer than 20 years
  • treat 95 patients per week on average.

Live CME for Primary Care Cardiologists

Since 2006, pmiCME has also provided accreditation services for Pri-Med’s national series of cardiology programs.
  • Pri-Med Updates for Cardiologists. Led by course chair, Dr. Peter Libby, Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston and Mallinckrodt Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, this multi-supported program attracts 100 – 200 Cardiologists and Internists actively treating cardiovascular conditions. The interactive curriculum provides practical insights to community-based Cardiologists through leading faculty covering emerging clinical data and recent advances in care that participants can immediately apply to their practice to improve their patients’ health. Along with the high-quality audience, world-renowned experts are involved to encourage interaction and debate between attendees and speakers during an expert luncheon regarding controversies in cardiovascular care
  • .
The majority of attendees at Pri-Med’s live Updates for Cardiologists programs are
  • active clinicians, either cardiologists or cardiology sub-specialists
  • practice for less than 20 years
